Fall is approaching fast and I can hardly wait for the crisp weather and pumpkin scented candles!
I’ll pass on the pumpkin spice latte though… anyone else not into the PSL? I’m not wishing away this summer weather quite yet– a few more beach days would be wonderful!
With back to school shopping underway I wanted to share some of the most popular trends for this fall in jackets! Before we know it, those will be a must for chilly mornings! It’s so easy to look and feel put together when you have a stylish jacket. It instantly amplifies a plain tee and jeans.
I’m seeing 2 particular styles all over the place. I’ve picked a few favorites, so read on if you’re looking for a good fall jacket!
1. Colored Utility jackets
I think the reign of the olive green utility jacket is waning. Sure, they’re still all over stores, but I’m seeing so many other color options out there! Anyone else notice how that rich burgundy/wine color that’s taken over? That could be the “it” color for this fall. I picked my jacket up from Burlington Coat Factory, but found the exact one at Walmart. They also have it in Olive, Black, and Mauve. You can’t go wrong with a cute and lightweight coat for less than $20!
I’m also seeing some gorgeous pastels in the utility jackets like this baby doll pink one from old navy:
I’m loving this mustard yellow one from Target. It’s a little bit longer, but still has a drawstring to define the waistline a bit. Plus it has a hood!
2. Moto jackets-
These are ultra cool and super chic. You can pair them with just about anything! Throw on some jeans, a casual tee and ankle boots and you’ve got a perfectly put together outfit for running errands. I’ve even seen them paired with a fitted dress and heels. I love the juxtaposition of the “hard” and “soft”!
I’ve tried on so many of these style jackets and haven’t pulled the trigger on getting one, but I’ve had my eye on this faux leather jacket from H&M. It’s a little bit pricey for my taste, but the quilting detail on the sleeve is just so gorgeous!
I’m really drawn to the suede ones like this one from Target. I think it gives a softer, more feminine feel than the leather ones. plus it’s more affordable. Loving this color too!
How cute is this new fleece knit option from Old Navy?! I’m definitely going to go try this one on. I love that it’s in a super soft material, and again, more affordable.
So there you have it! 2 fall jacket styles that you’ll be seeing a lot of as the weather gets cooler!
