We are beyond thrilled to announce the arrival of:
Olivia Margaret Weener!
Born April 25, 2018 at 9:47pm
7 lbs 1 oz, 20 inches
Mom and Baby are doing well. Everyone is adjusting to the first few days at home and enjoying a quiet recovery. We couldn’t have asked for a sweeter little girl!
I will be working on a post with Olivia’s birth story for those that are interested! For now, i’ll just leave you with a few photos my sis was able to snap when she stopped by the hospital to visit.
About her name:
“Olivia” was the name we picked right when we found out we were having a girl. After having the ultrasound we had gone out for an early dinner date and I asked Darling Husband, what he thought about of the name “Olivia”. He immediately replied “I love it”, with such certainty and finality. We decided then and there that our sweet girl would be called Olivia. It wasn’t until after we fell in love with her name that we realized how popular it was. I really struggled with that throughout the whole pregnancy, and searched for alternative options but we just kept coming back to it. Nothing else seemed right! Towards the end of the pregnancy we felt at peace with our decision. After all, I never minded my name being popular and growing up with other “Emily’s” in my class!
“Margaret” was an easy choice as well- her middle name is after my Grandma “Peggy” Margaret Jones. To me, she is the picture of grace, beauty, and a woman after God’s heart. She is a prayer warrior and studies Scripture so faithfully. I’ve always wanted to be like my her, so it was an honor to name our daughter after her. I pray that Olivia comes to know and continually proclaim God’s saving grace just as my Grandma does.
I felt so blessed by your support, prayers, and encouragement in the weeks leading up to her arrival. Thank you for being so gracious and kinds as the blog has been a little quieter these last weeks.
